Budget Adventure

3 or 4 nights

For those on a budget this adventure arrives and departs by flight only. Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday only.

PLEASE NOTE THIS ITINERARY DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY RIVER JOURNEY OR 4 X 4 TRANSFER NOR TIME TO REACH THE MOST REMOTE PENAN VILLAGES AND MOUNTAIN TOPS. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE IS FROM SAME AIRPORT AND DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY BOAT OR 4 X 4 TRANSFER SO THE COSTS ARE LESS. THERE IS NO ROAD ACCESS TO LONG LELLANG SO IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT OF RETURN FLIGHT BEING CANCELLED YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT OR WALK!

Day 1

Depart Miri airport for Long Lellang rural airport with MASWINGS. www.maswings.com.my

At airport meet Penan guide and continue your journey to Penan vilage 1 hour from Long Lellang, close to the Pulong Tau National Park.  Lunch will be served upon arrival. Relax and discuss program for next 3-4 days with your guide. After lunch short guided walk or start of overnight trek into the jungle.

Day 2

The next two or three days depending on flights booked will depend on what has been agreed with your guide. Spend the nights in the forest on longer treks or do day trips from the villages.

Day 3

Program as decided

DAY 4

Return to Long Lellang for return flight to Miri or enjoy one further day of adventure. 

DAY 5

Return to Long Lellang for flight to Miri

Consider your action before taking plastic bags and excess packaging and plastic with you. There are no recycling facilities in rural areas and most of the time plastic bags and rubbish end up in the rivers.
